Job Description
The Controls Technician will play a critical role in our team by providing technical expertise and support to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate production reliability improvement efforts and equipment troubleshooting support with the production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain all PLC/HMI programs for compounding, packaging and building systems, edit and write PLC programs, create/modify HMI screens, and perform basic electrical troubleshooting and functional modifications.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement process improvements that enhance OEE, safety, quality, and work environment.
- Work closely with facility, trade and OEM-service contractors to ensure work is performed as expected while conforming to PAD safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience with automation and controls, with at least 2 years of experience working in a consumer-packaged goods or related industry manufacturing production environment.
- Demonstrated independent execution of electrical or automation projects.
- Ability to create, modify and troubleshoot complex PLC programs and HMI programs and read electrical schematics.
- Proven working knowledge of Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI programming software.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
