SHIPPING ASSOCIATE - DAYS -WAUKESHA

Your FULL-TIME WEEKDAYS will be spent operating a SIT-DOWN PROPANE FORKLIFT as you stage, load and unload a variety of our baled recyclable materials onto and off of 53' semi-trailers. You will need a year or more of experience loading/unloading materials on semi-trailers to qualify for this opening.

Responsibilities

· Moving bales of paper, cardboard, metals etc. from staging areas onto and off of 53' trailers using both regular and clamp propane sit-down forklifts. Requires ability to load and unload trailers efficiently. EXPEREINCE HANDLING LARGER BALES OF MATERIALS WITHOUT PALLETS a plus.

· Recording and maintaining inventory accurately through our scale system. You will weigh and record material weights and follow load patterns to efficiently load bales of recyclables.

· You may also be cross trained to operate a skid steer to assist in staging and loading materials when you have time to assist the production department.

Essential Functions

· Previous SIT-DOWN PROPANE FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, in a fast-paced environment where you were primarily a loader/unloader on semi-truck trailers. Experience moving materials with both forks and a rotating clamp preferred to perform in this role. High degree of attention while driving required to prevent injury to others in a smaller 4 dock environment.

· Willingness and understanding you will get dirty. You will also be working in an overhead door building that is seasonally hot and cold.
