Distribution System Operator
Allied Resources is seeking a Distribution System Operator who will be responsible for the more complex directed single and three-phase switching and customer restoration efforts. A day in the life :
- Monitor and control transmission, distribution, and substation equipment, documenting maintenance, emergent activities, and system issues.
- Analyze load transfers on distribution and transmission systems to prevent overloads and restore customer load efficiently.
- Execute Emergency Load Control Procedures, including firm load shedding, to maintain system integrity during emergencies.
- Prepare complex single and three-phase switching / tagging activities for maintenance and restoration efforts.
- Plan work activities using the Permit and Tag process taught in the training course, to minimize outages and enhance safety.
