What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial Supervisor (FT Evenings) position at ALLIED SERVICES?
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Janitorial Project Manager, the Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for the training of assigned staff and clients, quality control and contract retention for all custodial accounts assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Secondary education may be substituted for experience listed below.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
One (1) year of custodial supervisory experience preferred.
SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required for effective interaction with staff, clients, and external agencies.
Valid PA driver's license is required.
Must successfully complete Allied's Driver Testing Program, as stated by policy #2.43.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Fills in for Project Manager when they are off for sick, personnel and vacation time.
Trains all assigned clients and staff in proper cleaning methodologies.
Instructs all staff and clients assigned on proper work habits, cleaning methods and safety procedures.
Assists in maintaining contract stock room and inventory. Orders janitorial supplies as needed.
Performs hands-on cleaning as required.
Reports daily to the Project Manager on issues relating to the contracts and duties assigned.
Assures that the assigned contract site assigned meets the cleaning specifications required and that all cleaning schedules, files and inspections are up-to-date.
Keeps all equipment in a clean, safe running condition.
Coordinates any additional services required by the contract.
Keeps accurate records of time sheets, payroll vouchers and assigned clients productivity.
Maintains the MSDS logs for hazardous chemicals and participates in yearly training on the Hazardous Communication Laws.
