Job Title:
Engineer and Obsolescence Management Specialist
About the Role:
This position is responsible for performing basic analysis and designs in support of facility, program, and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides engineering support in performance monitoring, trending, troubleshooting, functional testing, and configuration management control
- Evaluates obsolete electrical and mechanical equipment to determine suitable replacement parts
- Communicates with vendors, manages data in POMS, and collaborates with internal teams to identify replacements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or other) or demonstrated equivalent technical knowledge through work experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in electrical or mechanical engineering fields or sufficient technical knowledge and proven ability to perform evaluations
- Strong technical aptitude in electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn parts management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience in identifying and evaluating replacement parts
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to equipment and parts
