Obsolescence Management Specialist
The Obsolescence Management Specialist plays a critical role in evaluating obsolete electrical and mechanical equipment to determine suitable replacement parts. This position involves communication with vendors, data management within our Parts and Obsolescence Management System (POMS), and collaboration with internal teams to ensure the identification of appropriate replacements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate obsolete electrical and mechanical equipment to identify suitable replacement parts
- Communicate effectively with vendors to obtain necessary information
- Manage data accurately within POMS
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless replacement processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or other relevant fields)
- OR demonstrated equivalent technical knowledge through work experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in electrical or mechanical engineering fields
- OR demonstrated through work experience
- Strong technical aptitude in electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn parts management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience in identifying and evaluating replacement parts
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to equipment and parts
