We are currently seeking a Cabinet Estimator for our DeSoto, TX facility. The Cabinet Estimator is responsible for creating a cost quote for the cabinet and miscellaneous parts needed to complete individual units/ whole projects and pricing the correct quantities according to the AIS standard catalog.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Determine the correct cabinet and miscellaneous parts by using architectural drawings, verifying proper sizes, and imputing them into an Excel bid program.
- Determine price including elements such as freight and special items.
- Determine savings available to clients by utilizing value engineering.
- Reading and understanding plan sets, RFIs, and ASI to properly adjust pricing when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma/GED equivalent is preferred
- Knowledge of natural stone, the building products industry and markets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Possess sufficient computer acumen to learn internal software systems.
- Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills, highly motivated, *team player*
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel to design firms and client locations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.
