Warehouse Lead- Natural Stone Countertops

Summary of Position and Responsibility: The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of materials. This role involves coordinating with team members, managing workflows, and maintaining high standards of safety, organization, and productivity.

• Supervise warehouse activities: Lead and supervise warehouse team members to ensure that daily operations run smoothly. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support.
• Ensure safety and organization: Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Optimize warehouse processes: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Utilize best practices in inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Coordinate with departments: Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and production, to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
• Monitor and report warehouse metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to management. Identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Address any warehouse issues or bottlenecks that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Implement corrective actions as needed.
• Train and develop team members: Provide training and development opportunities for warehouse team members. Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

• Knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Abilities:
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications (Education, Certifications, and/or Training):

• Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in a leadership or supervisory position.

Work Environment: This role operates in a warehouse environment. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Physical Demands: This role involves extended periods of standing and walking within the warehouse. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.

Travel Required: Minimal travel is required for this role.
