Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CMM Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the highest quality of precision measurements in our manufacturing processes. The CMM Operator will play a crucial role in quality control, ensuring that all products meet stringent specifications and standards.
Duties
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise measurements of components and assemblies.
- Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 13485 standards.
- Utilize SolidWorks software for programming and analyzing measurement data.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in measurement processes.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of measurements and reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain the calibration of measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Skills
- Proficient in quality control methodologies and practices.
- Strong knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) operation and programming.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks for design verification.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Understanding of schematics, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 13485 standards, GD&T principles, and machining processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
