What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Allied Transportation and Fleet Services?
Dispatcher (Part-time) is highly organized, multitasker and excellent communicator. This position will be responsible for dispatching, data entry and scheduling fleet maintenance and repairs when needed, collecting driver records at the end of the day as per the DOT. The ideal candidate will be a main point of contact with our customers. The Part time Dispatcher will have or learn trucking and port operations, able to motivate and take charge while promoting a culture of safe driving and equality. Experience preferred but willing to train.
REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma
· Experience as dispatcher or relevant position preferred but not required.
· Knowledge of trucking & port operations, delivery routes and industry regulations a plus but not required.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with staff, customers, and vendors.
· Exceptional organizational skills and able to multitask.
· Problem solving mindset.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records, documentation, and expirations.
· Proficiency in using basic spreadsheets, word documents, GPS software and other relevant tools for efficient scheduling, tracking and record keeping.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
