Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Property Claims Desk Examiner to manage residential property insurance claims in Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina. In this role, you’ll be responsible for evaluating and settling claims within your designated authority, working with field adjusters and vendors, and ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently.
This is a full-time, remote, in-office, or hybrid position with regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM), with flexibility as needed based on claim volume or catastrophe events.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5 years of property claims adjusting or desk examiner experience.
Licenses:
- Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Essential Skills and Duties:
- Strong knowledge of property insurance policies and claims processes.
- Proficient in Xactimate and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and investigative abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all files and records.
- Handle Claims in compliance with statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
- Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
- Maintain claim files with adequate reserves and necessary documentation.
- Flexible availability, especially during catastrophe events.
