Security Officer - Retail Unarmed

As a Security Officer - Retail Unarmed in Aberdeen, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed security officer in a retail environment, you will be responsible for monitoring and observing designated areas to help maintain a secure atmosphere. Your presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while you engage with customers, providing assistance and information as needed. You will be expected to conduct regular rounds, remaining approachable and attentive to the needs of the location. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and engage in emergency response activities when necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Possession of a valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
