Job Details
A Senior UX Engineer is software developer position that focuses on the front of the front-end with a focus on building and coding the User Interface. They work closely with UX Designers to build high-fidelity coded prototypes. They have a keen eye for design and an extensive knowledge of JavaScript and React. They create and manage components for the Design System. They also serve as a peer leader & mentor for newer UX Engineers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Design System Creation and Support (45%)
- Create and maintain centralized component libraries that are part of a larger Design System
- Create, maintain, and propagate component library documentation, standards, and usage guidelines
- Promote the value and adoption of the Design System throughout the organization
Development and Prototyping (45%)
- Turn designs into live prototypes using our component libraries
- Hand off prototypes to Front-End Engineers or implement them yourself as needed
- Collaborate closely with UX Designers to iterate on interactions, animations, and details
- Collaborate closely with UX Researchers to user-test new concepts
- Contribute to front-end systems throughout project lifecycles (start to finish, development and production)
Mentorship (10%)
- Act as servant leader and mentor front-end/UX engineering teams in the development of new web software products and the optimization of existing ones
- Work to improve collaboration and communication between the design team and the engineering teams
- Expert knowledge of UX, agile work methodology, and software development (JavaScript and React)
- Lead by example on UX best practices and the UXLab processes
- Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary user-focused experience teams, driving high quality experiences that optimize business results.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
- 3 - 4 years related work experience
- 2 years' experience leading & influencing people preferred
