Job Summary:
Allied World has an exciting opportunity in either its Connecticut or New York City office for a Compliance Analyst to work on a wide range of compliance matters. This position will work with all areas of the company to determine the impact of regulatory laws and rulemakings on the company’s reporting practices and determine if internal processes and products are compatible with regulatory requirements. The position involves accumulating, preparing and submitting data to Statistical Reporting Agencies (ISS and ISO) along with the state departments of insurance for required data calls. Additional responsibilities include: 1) conduct compliance activities to meet state requirements; 2) determine data, data structures and system requirements to meet statutory requirements; and 3) assist in developing and maintaining reports for state regulatory reporting. The candidate will have knowledge of statistical reporting to statistical reporting agencies and state bureaus, along with knowledge of aggregate data calls to the state insurance departments and bureaus.
Job Duties:
Assist in compiling required data from internal and external sources for reporting.
Report to Statistical Reporting Agencies (ISS and ISO) along with State Insurance Departments and Bureaus.
Assist in reporting of Data Calls to State Insurance Departments and Bureaus for property & casualty and accident & health insurance.
Help in identifying data mapping specifications for system capture of reporting information and data gap analysis.
Participate in testing data in conformance to updates from reporting entities.
Correction of errors received from reporting entities.
Assist in other compliance procedures and duties as assigned, including preparation of state data calls, broker reports and miscellaneous statutory reporting.
Provide statistical reporting guidance to program administrators and other third-party providers.

Compensation:
The below annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one component of Allied World’s comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
$50,000 - $70,000
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Three years property & casualty and/or accident & health insurance experience is preferred, but not required.
Experience and knowledge of Statistical Reporting and Data Call procedures is preferred, but not required.
Technical insurance knowledge and a general understanding of various insurance company operations will be helpful.
Strong PC skills (candidate MUST have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Legal research and internet skills preferred.
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
