Position Objective:
Machine Operators are essential team members responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines that produce and coat flat films from synthetic materials. In this role, you will operate equipment like blown film extruders, silicone coaters, and slitter/rewinders. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Operation Monitoring: Ability to watch gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure machines run smoothly.
- Operations: Ability to control equipment or systems.
- Controls: Ability to adjust machine controls to precise positions.
- Problem Detection: Ability to recognize when something is wrong, without necessarily solving the problem.
- Problem Solving: Identify problems, troubleshoot, or alert the supervisor.
- Coordination: Ability to manipulate small objects with precision.
- Familiarity with rulers, scales, gauges, and other measurement tools.
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Available to work holidays.
- Dependable attendance and flexibility with non-standard work hours.
- Ability to manage job-related stress and maintain a positive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machines like silicone coaters and extruders, and convert flat films.
- Monitor machine operations, gauges, and control boards to detect issues such as quality or dimensional inconsistencies. Adjust machine settings as needed.
- Load materials into machines by weighing them properly and adjusting feed mechanisms.
- Start pumps and monitor machine operations to ensure a steady flow of silicone coatings.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to meet film production and quality standards, and document any machine issues.
- Keep machines and work areas clean, including wiping rollers and cleaning trays as needed.
- Ensure that the quality of both the film and raw materials meets customer and company standards. Participate in quality assurance testing as part of lab training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
