About The Position
Job Title : Central Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty : Surgery Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 2 : 00pm - 10 : 30pm, 8-hour Mids Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years of pertinent experience required License : Not specified Certifications : SPT certification preferred Must-Have : Central Sterile SPD experience, certified preferred.
Team player mentality. Job Description : Facility with 6 ORs and 1 Cysto Room; max run includes 6 rooms operating simultaneously.
- Central Sterile unit includes decontamination, clean room, and autoclave room.- Will not accept first-time travelers.- Handle a variety of patient types including General, GYN, Urology, Vascular, Ortho, Pediatric Dental, Podiatry, ENT, and uses Robotics for General, GYN, and Urology.
- On-call expectation includes 1 weeknight per week from 3 : 00pm-6 : 30am.- Weekend rotation requires SPD to cover one weekend per month with shifts from 2 : 00pm-6 : 00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
- Participation in holiday call if a holiday occurs during the contract, with a limit of 1 every 26 weeks.- Schedule includes various shifts, excluding call hours : 5x8, 4x10, 4x10 late shift, and 3x12 weekend shifts.
- Longer weekends may be arranged to allow travelers to visit home during the contract period.- Specific blackout dates for requested time off during 2024, including major holidays and special weekends.- Scrub color provided.
