About The Position

ID : 52850382 Shift : 5x8.0-755382 Description : Short Carlos Apache Healthcare Center Pharmacy Clinic. Hosptial exp reqinpatient / ER pharmacist with ACLS & PALS. PALS canbe obtained on-site with-in the first month of hire.Complete Description : Pharmacists Shift Times : Days 8-5Call Requirements : N / A Float : How often does your unit float? N / AUnit Information : Pharmacy Introduction : We are a Tribal 638site providing healthcare to the San Carlos Apache people. Our hospital isyoung and thriving. We offer an abundance of opportunities for professionalgrowth, personal development and involvement in rewarding work. Our pharmacyoperation is robust with a strong team. We fill an average of ~1000 scripts aday with the help of the team and technology, including a robot and countingdevices. So far, we have a vaccine clinic, a warfarin clinic, and are addingnew clinics. We are involved with patient outreach within the community byparticipating in events. In addition, we assist clinical teams throughout thehospital and beyond, including local schools and the Department of Health andHuman Services. Our pharmacy staff give back to the profession throughpreceptorship of pharmacy interns, pharmacy technicians, and local high schoolstudents interested in Pharmacy or healthcare. Our pharmacists are fortunate tobe able to provide healthcare to an underserved native population, work withina collaborative team of healthcare professionals, and have excellent benefits,including healthcare, subsidized housing, and multiple student loan repaymentprograms. Directs, manages and supervises daily administrative operations to ensure highest quality service response and delivery consistent with established professional, regulatory and governmental standards2.Develops operational and financial outcome measures, related tracking and monitoring systems and a mechanism to integrate efforts into organization-wide Quality Improvement systems3.Directs, implements and evaluates development of departmental, functional and / or service related policies and procedures4.Proactively assesses program, service and functional effectiveness; makes regular and consistent effort to develop and facilitate continuous process improvement.5.Develops and supervises staff through provision of timely feedback and use of appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to facilitate and ensure the ability of staff to achieve highest level of professional growth and desired performance standards6.Plans, directs, implements and evaluates computer-based information and dispensing system to ensure ongoing efficiency and accuracy of data capture7.Develops, manages and supervises purchasing and inventory management functions to ensure cost effective inventory management while providing timely availability to appropriate pharmaceuticals and related products8.Facilitates the professional growth of staff by accurately assessing learning needs, styles and barriers to learning; coordinates learning opportunities.9.Prepares monthly progress / operational report; identifies areas of improvement, concern and recommended 10.Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs / initiatives11.Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor12.Performs other as requestedMinimum Qualifications : Five years professional experience with two years of management experience Bachelor s degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred including 1 year residency Current and valid state Pharmacy license, required BLS certification within 30 days of hire
