About The Position
Job Title : Respiratory Therapist
Location : Tucson, AZ 85723
Duration : 1 year
Start Date : August 2024
Shift Schedule : 44 hours per week
Responsibilities :
- The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for, providing out of-operating room intubation services as part of core privileges.
- The Respiratory Therapist establishes and maintains responsibility for inpatient general internal medicine services.
- The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for performing rounds on the weekends, facilitating transfers, and taking and documenting telephone calls from patients and physicians.
- Able to perform independently basic and acute respiratory care, administration of oxygen and aerosol therapy, positive pressure devices (BIPAP, CPAP, & IPV), ventilator care to include advanced techniques, i.e.; pressure control modality and associated ventilator adjustments and monitoring with / without graphs. Assists / Insures that appropriate recommendations are given to the physicians regarding changes in therapy.
Qualification :
License : Valid current and unrestricted license to practice Registered Respiratory Therapy (NRBC) in any state within the United States, District of Columbia or the Common-Wealth of Puerto Rico.
Certification : CPR / BLS Continuing Medical Education (CME) / Certified Education Unit (CEU)
Experience : Must have a minimum of two years' current experience in this field and recent Respiratory Therapy experience in a hospital setting including covering inpatient units, ED and ICU.
