Seeking MLT professionals for a 13 week travel assignment. Medical laboratory technicians perform routine tests in various areas of clinical laboratory testing, including : Blood banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology. Microbiology Medical laboratory technicians may also be responsible for preparing specimens and operating automated analyzers, or performing manual tests. Required Qualifications : MT (AMT or ASCP) or MLT (AMT or ASCP). Knowledgeable in all areas of the clinical laboratory : blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology / immunology, and urinalysis. Performs testing on blood, urine, other body fluids and tissues. Performs and interprets quality control procedures utilizing good judgment and implements corrective action when indicated. Performs phlebotomy procedures to include bleeding times, blood cultures, heel sticks, venipunctures, capillary blood gasses, finger sticks, and cord blood gasses an all appropriate age groups.
