We are seeking a Clinical Systems Analyst to provide application support and system optimization to the Health Center and Behavioral Health (BH) departments.
The Clinical Systems Analyst optimizes the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system by improving workflows, integrating technologies, and enhancing user satisfaction. This role includes troubleshooting, Tier 1 support, and creating essential reports, to improve efficiency and support high-quality patient care.

Duties and responsibilities
· Collaborates with key stakeholder groups and staff in the acquisition, configuration, development, testing, and implementation of solutions.
· Work with clinical staff to determine needs, specifications, feasibility, priorities for development, and configuration requests and projects.
· Monitor and support user requirements for EHR and supporting applications.
· Participates with clinical staff in basic to moderately complex issues, incidents, problems according to agreed upon service levels and according to defined standards and processes.
· Resolve day-to-day application needs including clinical applications setup, resolving application errors, training issues, and user account setup and maintenance.
· Respond to user questions and requests and develop an action plan with the manager when issues are not resolved or the system is not working properly.
· Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of user access and roles.
· Administer and maintain system functionality based on policy and procedures for assigning roles and security access.
· Collaborate with clinicians on system requests, including adding diagnoses and procedure codes, assisting user creation of Smart Phrases, and supporting clinical tools or workflows.
· Collaborate with OCHIN and oversight or advisory workgroups to optimize system usage by implementing new Epic features and upgrades.
· Collaborate with internal Epic Super Users to test and transition new features and updates.
· Submit and track Jira tickets to OCHIN support, as approved by the Systems Manager. Serve as the Epic applications expert and OCHIN liaison at clinic department meetings.
· Clarity database querying, OCHIN Epic Crystal Reports, OCHIN Epic SAP Business Objects, Excel, and SQL to support data-driven decision-making.
· Develop reports and dashboard metrics as assigned by the manager.
· Collaborate with other stakeholders and users within Ochin collaborative to ensure optimal usage and configuration as new functions are rolled out.
· Supports manager or lead in completing EHR systems upgrades, patches, and implementations of primary and/or add-on applications and provide backup support to Systems Manager.
· Complete other related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Informatics, Information Technology, Health Information Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
· Minimum of two years related work experience.
· Electronic Health Records software is required.
· Nextgen, EPIC or equivalent health record experience.
· Demonstrated understanding of general concepts of business/healthcare environment, types of information used, how the data is produced, consumed, and transformed required.
· Demonstrated understanding of the functional architecture, security and compliance requirements of assigned systems and integration.
· Experience working within an integrated healthcare system environment required.
· Experience with health care workflows and clinical procedures.
· Experience with workflows, integrating technologies, and enhancing user satisfaction.
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
· Strong troubleshooting skills.
· Systems experience and ability to extract data and design new data elements.
· Knowledge in SQL or equivalent programming language.
· Proficient with Microsoft office suite including Excel.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural, professional, and experiential backgrounds.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
