We are seeking a highly-skilled Database Administrator to join our team. This position can be performed either remotely or in our office, depending on the preference and availability of the chosen candidate. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company's databases to ensure seamless operation and availability for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain database management systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop processes for database backup, recovery and migration
- Create and implement security measures to protect company data
- Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement database structures that meet business needs
- Continuously monitor and optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks
- Conduct regular patches and upgrades to ensure the databases are up-to-date
- Develop and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures
- Train and mentor junior team members on database management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration
- Proven experience with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
