Job Overview:
As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, including healthcare professionals, patients, and insurance companies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients have a positive experience while using our products and services. In addition, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients, while also adhering to industry regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails from clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Manage client accounts, including processing payments and updating account information
- Maintain a strong understanding of our products and services to effectively assist clients and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with other teams, such as sales and technical support, to ensure prompt and accurate resolutions to client concerns
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of client information
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer service experience and suggest process enhancements
- Stay updated on industry regulations, insurance policies, and trends to provide accurate information to clients
- Document all client interactions and update client records in our database
- Meet or exceed key performance indicators such as call quality, customer satisfaction, and response time
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the medical or healthcare industry
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to empathize and diffuse tense situations
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) is preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Comfortable working remotely or in an office environment as needed
