Job Description:
Provides direct supervision of security staff to include hiring and onboarding, training and development and performance management. Manages the security operations for the business unit developing and maintaining crime prevention, analysis and investigation programs for the organization and/or assigned business unit(s). Coordinates and supports education. Supervises emergency preparedness drills and documentation.
Principle Responsibilities

Leadership Responsibilities.
- Oversees and has responsibility for department employees to include hiring and onboarding, training and development and performance management.
- Serves as a liaison and department representative for the organization to include community outreach, task forces, and work groups.
- Executes on the strategic vision for the function.
- Provides input in the preparation of the department budget.
- May function in the position of Security Officer.

Manages the security operations for the function/location.
- Assists in developing and maintaining crime prevention, analysis and investigation programs for the system/business unit(s).
- Monitors reports to include shift logs and daily reports.
- Oversees the maintenance and inventory of security systems and equipment.
- Assists and implements security procedures.
- Maintains regulatory compliance documents.

Coordinates and supports education, training and drills.
- May assist in the development and instruction of the systemwide security training program.
- Supervises emergency preparedness drills and documentation.
- Coordinates programs and educates non-security employees at the business unit(s).
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Psychology, Sociology or relevant field within 36 months of hire
- 5 to 7 years experience in security, emergency services, military or law enforcement or relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years experience in regulatory compliance related to health care and emergency management
- 3 to 7 years leadership experience in security, emergency services, military, law enforcement or health care
Licenses/Certifications
- BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required American Heart Association or Allina; will be enrolled in first available class if not certified at time of hire
- Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment
- International Association for Hospital Safety and Security (IAHSS) preferred
- OSHA First Responder preferred
- Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) preferred

- Lifting weight Up to 20 lbs. occasionally, Up to 10 lbs. frequently
Additional Job Description:
- 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2-week pay period)
- 8-hour day shifts No weekends
- -No major holidays
Pay Range:
Pay Range: $33.49 to $45.90 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
