Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
- Assist with dental lab tasks, including pouring and trimming models
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations is a plus
- Familiarity with medical coding and Epic electronic health records system is beneficial
- Proficiency in medical documentation and recordkeeping
- Experience working with pediatric patients is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
