What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Coordinator position at Allison Medical?
This position works closely with upper management and the Operations team. Work will include entering sales orders, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, ensuring adequate business controls, expense reporting/control and revenue cycle management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain and update general ledger.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparations.
- Provide support to the finance team as needed.
- Locates and corrects discrepancies by analyzing data and reporting information to management. Working in a small business will require the openness to participate in any area of the business, if necessary.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares month-end reports and other related tasks as required.
- Requires excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Has the ability to and enjoys working independently and can meet deadlines.
- Requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Answers incoming calls and transfers appropriately.
- Creates and maintains physical/electronic files.
- Prepares meeting agendas.
- Must be detailed oriented and can multitask.
- Responsible for following all policies and procedures of Allison Medical.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, finance or a related field.
- 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
