Job description :
Allison-Smith Company is seeking a qualified Project Scheduler who can perform at a high level on complex projects. The Project Scheduler plays a crucial role in developing, tracking progress, and regularly updating a task flow that is optimized for efficiency for Allison-Smith while meeting all the project milestone requirements. The Project Scheduler will lead the coordination with both Allison-Smith Project Managers and Field Supervision, as well as with the external project stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for electrical installations
- Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to align tasks and timelines
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines
- Identify potential risks and implement solutions to minimize delays
- Review external overall project schedules for changes and alignment with Allison-Smith schedule
- Resource load project schedules
- Extract resource curves and reports from P6 to support project management
- Update schedule based on actual progress
- Reschedule activities due to conflicts, changes in scope, changes in contract time, or changes in construction sequence
- Confirm that the work tasks’ can be met with the durations given
- Establish a resource curve based off the schedule
- Help optimize the manpower (or lack thereof) to meet the schedule
- Evaluate the project workflow by area, phases, project buildout
- Understand other trade’s schedules and compare to Allison-Smith schedule
- Develop need by dates for BIM, submittals, procurement, prefab to support project milestone needs
- Develop a three week look ahead schedules and maintain throughout the project
