Overview
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Technology Practice. This is a mid-level position ideal for a client-first B2B technology specialist who thrives in earned media relations, thought leadership, and new media. You may serve as an account lead on smaller teams and/or lead individual workstreams on larger accounts. Senior Account Executives at this level act as the right-hand to account managers and directors, driving core account work while contributing to the strategic vision.
In this role, you’ll guide and support junior team members on project execution, manage workflow, and ensure quality deliverables. You’ll also take part in client meetings, support integrated planning, and help surface opportunities in fast-moving technology sectors like AI, enterprise tech, cloud, and cybersecurity.
This position supports B2B technology clients and is open to candidates based in San Francisco, Boston, New York, or Chicago.

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $63k-$85k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leads on account strategy and planning, thought leadership programs, and media initiatives
- Actively pitch and secure earned media coverage with proven success in both trade and Tier 1 outlets
- Maintain and grow relationships with reporters covering AI and B2B tech – e.g., WSJ, TechCrunch, VentureBeat
- Lead workstreams for executive visibility, from speaker bureau management and awards to media engagement and byline development
- Serve as a client point of contact for conference and award organizers; provide guidance to junior colleagues on related deliverables
- Monitor tech industry trends and news to identify proactive media opportunities and thought leadership angles
- Draft press releases, bylines, POVs, blog posts, media pitches and briefing documents that are client-ready or require light senior review
- Participate in client calls and status meetings, providing on-demand updates and contributing to strategy
- Balance multiple fast-paced workstreams and shifting client priorities with agility and professionalism
- Must have experience working as an account executive, senior account executive or equivalent in public relations, marketing or a related field.
- Senior Account Executives at Allison typically have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- client-facing experience on B2B technology accounts, ideally within an agency setting
- Strong media relations background, especially in AI, enterprise tech, cloud and cybersecurity sectors
- Proven media relationships with AI and tech reporters
- Experience in supporting and leading elements of executive visibility programs
- Ability to write high-quality content independently, including media pitches, bylines, and award submissions
- Confidence in co-leading client calls and setting agendas, with the ability to provide light-touch counsel to enterprise clients
- A self-starter mindset with genuine curiosity for technology and new media
- Interest in management and supporting junior team development
- Proficiency with Muckrack, Meltwater, Cision, and other media tools, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, and Teams
