A large managed care organization is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse with venipuncture skills and EHR experience for a short-term (6 week) contract position.
- WORK LOCATION: Thomasville, NC AND Mt Gilead, NC
- PAY: $27/hr
- CONTRACT: ASAP to 11/18/2024
- HOURS: Hours per day vary each day. Candidates will work at 2 separate locations. Thomasville & Mt Gilead, NC. Thomasville. Schedule: Monday 6a-1p, Wednesday 6a-6p, Thursday 8a-1p. Mt Gilead Schedule: Tuesday 6:45a-2:45p and Friday 6a-11a.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight
- Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas
- Support and Encourage Medical Management Plans of Patients—blood pressure checks; blood glucose checks
- Venipunctures for lab services
- Injections/Vaccines
- Clinic nurse--patient triage
- Charting within Electronic Health Record, eMDs
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School (Diploma or GED)
- LPN license with active North Carolina license in good standing
- Preferably 2 or more years of nursing experience in a clinic or similar setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic Computer Skills & Typing expertise for use of the Electronic Medical Record
- Data entry skills
- Excellent communication skills
