Internship Details
- Project Duration: Up to 12 weeks - May to August.
- Compensation: Between $20 to $24/hr - depending on education year & experience.
- Hours/Week: Up to 40 hours.
Are you a student looking for internship in a globally leading industrial company? We are looking for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team. The Chemist Intern will be a part of our team, working to provide assistance and support in the day-to day tasks as well as gain insight and knowledge of chemical production activities.
Responsibilities
- Performing analyses to measure the chemical properties and compositions of various products.
- Supporting lab staff with synthesis of existing products.
- Develop an understanding of the chemistry involved in our processes and how various inputs influence the final properties of our products.
- Assist the quality department with investigating out of specification incidents and providing recommendations to improve the manufacturing process.
- Supporting development of various test methods to improve consistency of results.
- Currently working on a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.

- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand walk sit use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls reach with hands and arms climb stairs balance stoop kneel talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment: Lab environment with some elements such as noise, dust, fumes, heat, safety hazards, etc. Requires inside and outside work, and some exposure to weather conditions. Must be able to wear a respirator when required.
