Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Structural Engineer-in-Training with a willingness to learn and explore different projects to join our team in Kelowna, BC. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to plan, coordinate and execute the design of a wide variety of civil projects.
A Day in the Life
- Assist with design and execution of various structural projects in oil and gas, mining, municipal, commercial, and residential sectors, which may include industrial plant expansions, pre-eng
- building foundations, bridges, office and residential building etc
- Perform field inspections/assessments
- Prepare drawings, specifications, reports, proposals, and contract documentation
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets and to high quality standards.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Must be registered (or eligible for registration) as an EIT in the province of BC
- 2 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably in an engineering consulting environment
- Proven experience using Revit and AutoCAD is an asset
- Previous experience in field inspections/assessments is an asset
- A background in construction and/or contract administration is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
- Adaptability and willingness to learn
- Technical competence and strong attention to detail
