Our Ideal Candidate
We are currently looking for a Materials Technician / Environmental Tech with experience in Water Sampling with a variety of experience levels for project work based in Fort McMurray and surrounding areas
A Day in the Life
Routine tasks include:
- Sampling groundwater wells, lakes, ponds, outfalls, and surface run-off through various methods
- Completing in-field data entry for each sample site on the lab database
- Completing COC’s as required
- Preparing samples for shipment to our on site lab
- Operating Argo (ATV) as required (valid drivers license / clean abstract required)
- Additional data entry as required.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Background in Environmental Monitoring considered an asset
- Experience in field materials testing
- Excellent communication skills and analytical abilities
- Technical competence and attention to detail
- Ability to work a variety of shifts is required
- A high level of dependability
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Preference given to those local to Fort McMurray (No fly in fly out, this is a local based position with relocation required)
