We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to define and implement testing strategies for custom applications while preparing for enterprise-level expansion. This role requires hands-on testing experience, along with expertise in building and managing automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both manual and automated testing, ensuring software quality through efficient and scalable test strategies that align with evolving business needs. Additionally, we are looking for someone who can explore and integrate novel testing approaches, such as AI-driven test automation and intelligent defect detection, to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.We pursue these passions because ALLO leaders have created a workplace where folks are valued, ideas are heard, and leaders and teammates show up for each other at work and in life.
Typical pay range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 annually depending on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Current Needs (Custom Applications):
- Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for custom applications.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure software meets functional and performance requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Establish test plans, test scripts, and test execution reports for ongoing releases.
Future Needs (Enterprise-Level Applications):
- Define and implement a QA strategy and framework for enterprise-wide application testing.
- Lead the transition from custom app testing to enterprise-level testing methodologies.
- Establish and manage a comprehensive suite of test cases and scenarios, ensuring quality best practices are followed.
- Implement and optimize test automation frameworks for large-scale applications.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, coverage, and automation.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA) are preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience in API testing with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation into deployment workflows.
- Proven ability to analyze requirements, create test plans, and implement QA best practices.
Preferred:
- Experience with enterprise application testing (OSS/BSS, CRM, cloud platforms).
- Knowledge of performance and security testing techniques.
- Experience with testing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency in test management tools such as Jira.
- Ability to develop and implement automated test frameworks.
- Knowledge of AI-driven testing approaches and intelligent defect detection.
- Understanding of performance, security, and usability testing principles.
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies that align with business goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify defects and improve test coverage.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development and product teams.
- Adaptability to work in fast-paced, evolving technology environments.
