EXCITING UI/UX Designer position
Conveniently located in the Financial District of Manhattan, we are a stealth FinTech startup on a hot growth rate.
We are looking for a talented UI Designer to create amazing user experiences using the latest AI tools in a mobile-first environment. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI/UX skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design user flow, user experience, and user interface for the cross-platform financial mobile application.
- Engineer user experience and user interface for the financial web applications
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
- Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
Skills
- Deep experience with the latest AI design tools and techniques.
- Proven UI experience, specifically with mobile native applications and modern single and multi-page web applications
- Good understanding of best design practices for mobile platforms like iOS, Android. Specifically, deep understanding of human interface guidelines presented by Apple.
- Familiarity with current trends in the design of mobile and web applications, specifically financial applications.
- A penchant for simplicity in user interfaces
- Ability to present complex financial terms and numbers in a logical and straightforward way.
- Ability to build new user experiences from scratch
- Experience creating UI solutions for screens of different sizes and proportions
- Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
- Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
- BS/MS in Interaction Design, or related
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Not required, but good to have skills:
- Ability to design and develop simple vector illustrations supporting user flow in mobile and web applications
Compensation is negotiable, depending on experience.
