Mission of the Position
The mission of the Business Development Manager is to help develop interest and customer commitment for our sustainable mining technologies. This individual will work closely with both the commercial and technical team to drive towards a customer-supported demonstration and pilot scale validation of Allonnia's three technology platforms : Bio-Solubilization, Bio-Cementation and Bio-Extraction. Achieving these goals will rely building strategic customer relationships using the candidate's ability to interact with customers on both a commercial and technical basis, including generating and managing contracts, communicating technical results in a clear and confident manner and an understanding of the unmet technical needs of mineral processing plants where these technologies can be applied.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the VP of Business Development in the annual revenue and margin targets as defined in the budget, including ongoing commercial activities and paid proof of concept projects.
- Develop relationships with key decision makers and influencers within Tier 1 and 2 Mining companies, including juniors.
- Build a network across consultants, engineering companies, service providers and others who influence and support the mining industry.
- Prepare market studies using various tools to define market potential and best available technologies. Define TAM, SAM and SOM for technologies.
- Coordinate communication across the organization and between the technical team and the customer ensuring commitments are met, including the use of CRM and other collaboration tools.
- Develop financial models for the implementation of Allonnia's technology to quantify the value and assist internal project decision making.
- Promote Allonnia's technology at various domestic and international Mining Industry conferences to build a sales pipeline.
