Alloy Engineering is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer in the South Central portion of the US. The role is responsible for nitric acid producers globally, local coverage, and the development of clients within the geography covered. This role is key in driving revenue growth by identifying and developing business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and providing technical expertise in our range of high-performance alloys. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing Alloy Engineering’s market position, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure our solutions meet the client’s specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand our market presence within the nitric acid and assigned geography.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of alloy materials, corrosion resistance, and industry-specific challenges to provide technical solutions that address client needs.
- Solution Selling: Guide clients through Alloy Engineering’s product offerings, demonstrating the benefits of our solutions for their applications.
- Market Analysis: Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, and production teams to align customer needs with Alloy Engineering’s capabilities and production schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in the chemical, nitric acid, or metals/alloys industries.
- Proven success in a sales role, with experience in solution-based and consultative sales.
- Strong understanding of the nitric acid industry and the applications of high-performance alloys.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to travel within North America and Globally when required.
