About the role
Alloy seeks a business development leader who will drive our efforts to form strategic customer partnerships in the Defense segment to contribute to Alloy's long-term goals. This individual will be critical in securing customer partnerships via IRAD & production programs to drive revenue. The VP of Business Development will develop, sell, and close large customer projects and government programs while actively informing our product strategy based on customer insights and market trends.
What you'll do
- Strategic Leadership : Influence product strategy and align our technology to use cases in the Defense segment by collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with Alloy's long-term goals and drive revenue growth.
- Partnership Development : Identify, establish, and cultivate strategic partnerships with customers, government agencies, and defense programs, to drive revenue. This includes structuring, selling, and closing large-scale customer projects and teaming agreements, ensuring alignment with Alloy's objectives and market demands.
- Customer Engagement : Work directly with stakeholders in customer organizations to understand their needs, pain points, and opportunities, translating these insights into actionable product, sales, and marketing strategies.
- Market Analysis : Conduct thorough market, product, and application research and analysis to identify potential new Defense opportunities for Alloy's products and our Stack Forging technology.
- Collaboration : Work closely with customers and Alloy's teams to align product, marketing, and sales efforts as well as execution of customer programs.
- Innovation Driving : Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative solutions for specific customer needs that enhance Alloy's value proposition.
- Thought Leadership : Create compelling content that communicates our value proposition and technical advantages to the Defense community. Present at conferences and industry events, host customer visits, and do webinars.

This position will require access to information subject to control under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") and International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR").
