Leadership & Team Development:

Overview
The Director of Training is responsible for leading, inspiring, and coaching the fitness staff to deliver an exceptional fitness experience while embodying the Alloy brand's values. This role involves creating a motivating, positive, and inclusive culture that drives both the team's performance and the overall success of the studio. The DOT will manage the coaching team, ensuring that each member is equipped with the skills, knowledge, and motivation to guide clients toward achieving their fitness goals. The DOT will be the primary lead for securing and maintaining client memberships, including facilitating organic marketing, client retention and performing Starting Point Sessions.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the fitness coaching team, ensuring alignment with Alloy’s mission and values.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment where coaches are passionate, driven, and excited to provide outstanding fitness experiences.
  • Provide continuous feedback and coaching to ensure all team members stay engaged, empowered, and growing within their roles.
  • Hiring and training new staff, including onboarding.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings.
  • Perform quarterly check-ins with staff.
  • Manage the coaching schedule.

Marketing & Sales:

  • Oversee external marketing efforts, including: Events, B2B – Cross Promotion, Paid social media campaigns.
  • Referral opportunities through socials, open houses, VIP parties, and in-house promotions.
  • Sales responsibilities include: Phone sales, lead follow-up, and Starting Point Session (SPS) management.

Retention & Client Engagement:

  • Conduct accountability sessions.
  • Plan and execute quarterly challenges.
  • Oversee "Frequent Sweaters" program.
  • Track and celebrate client milestones.
  • Collect and highlight success stories.

Positive & Motivating Culture:

  • Promote a culture of positivity, enthusiasm, and support both within the team and with clients.
  • Maintain an optimistic and "can-do" attitude that helps to keep the studio energized, focused, and client-centric.
  • Inspire clients, especially those new to fitness, by being empathetic and creating a motivating atmosphere that empowers them to push through challenges.

Operational & Administrative Support:

  • Support the Operations Lead in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
  • Assist in the hiring process for new coaching staff, ensuring all new hires meet Alloy's high standards.
  • Ensure adherence to studio procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Manage billing for clients and retail items.
  • Run reports and track performance metrics.

Client Experience & Relationship Building:

  • Ensure all coaches have the skills to form strong relationships with clients, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all fitness levels.
  • Monitor the quality of client engagement during training sessions, ensuring each individual feels heard, encouraged, and motivated.
  • Inspire and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering long-term client retention and loyalty.

Coaching Excellence:

  • Lead by example during training sessions, demonstrating a high level of technical ability, proper exercise form, and clear communication.
  • Encourage coaches to give personalized attention to clients, ensuring each workout is effective, safe, and aligned with the client’s fitness goals.
  • Continually assess and improve the coaching team's technique, program delivery, and overall client experience.
  • Ensure that all coaching staff are knowledgeable about Alloy's approach to fitness and wellness and help implement new training methodologies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in fitness management or a similar leadership role.
  • Experience in personal training or group fitness instruction is preferred.
  • Familiarity with program design tailored to individual client needs.
  • Previous experience in a health club or gym setting is advantageous.
  • Sales experience or a background in fitness sales is a plus.
  • A degree in physical education or a related field is beneficial but not required.
  • Certification from a recognized organization in personal training is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
