The Director of Training will initially focus on pre-sales activities, including lead generation, community engagement, and representing the gym at local events. While a fitness trainer background is not required, a sales-focused approach is preferred, with responsibilities including conducting client assessments and following the sales process. As the role transitions into management, the Director will oversee daily operations, manage a team of trainers, track performance metrics, handle marketing efforts, recruit and train staff, and ensure the gym’s smooth operation. Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- General leads through community engagement, networking, and attending local events during pre-sale ramp up.
- Follow the sales process for all clients & perform initial assessment sessions.
- Lead & manage a team of trainers.
- Operate the business 30 hours per week & train 10 hours a week.
- Oversee internal & external marketing activities, including maintaining Social Media presence. & monitoring local digital marketing campaigns.
- Record & maintain client info in the Alloy app.
- Track a number of metrics including leads, bookings, show/close rate & attrition.
- Manage communications with all clients.
- Oversee operations of the studio including opening/closing procedures, maintenance, & cleaning.
- Recruit & train new employees.
- Schedule staff.
- Review all weekly template workouts with training staff.
- Perform quarterly employee evaluations.
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced gym environment.
- Ability to lift & demonstrate fitness exercises as required.
- Morning, evening & weekend hours are required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Total Base Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on qualifications & experience
- Performance Bonus: Profit sharing & bonuses based on club performance
