Position Description
We are Hiring a Quality Manager
Ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within the manufacturing process. This includes developing, implementing, and enforcing quality policies, processes, and procedures to ensure products meet customer and regulatory compliance requirements. The role involves continuous improvement efforts to maintain and enhance the manufacturing quality system.DUTIES:
• Manage a robust quality management system (QMS) in accordance with industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
• Oversee and ensure consistent product quality through regular inspections, audits, and testing of materials, components, and finished products.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve manufacturing processes.
• Investigate product defects, identify root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions to eliminate issues.
• Manage and mentor a team of quality inspectors and other quality control personnel, providing training and guidance as needed.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule daily workflow within the department.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and internal procedures. Lead or participate in audits (internal and external) to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and direct policy and procedure for inspection of material and product to ensure engineering and performance specifications are met.
• Evaluate manufacturing effectiveness to identify deficiencies and weaknesses and to initiate action to correct them.
• Oversee and coordinate the handling of non-conforming materials and their disposition and related corrective actions.
• Manage Supplier/Vendor performance and collaborate with Purchasing Department to ensure raw materials and components meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Collect, analyze, and report on quality data and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Address customer quality issues and complaints, analyze feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Interpret contracts, standards, specifications, and drawings to establish inspection methods.
• Direct corrective action system for non-conforming material and customer complaints to facilitate customer satisfaction.
• Manage compliance records of calibrations, inspections, testing, audits, and quality reports, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
• Work closely with other departments, such as production, engineering, and purchasing to resolve quality issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Establish and control the department budget to ensure proper use of fiscal resources.
• Coordinate and complete annual management review meeting in accordance to ISO Standards.
• Foster a positive work culture by encouraging teamwork and collaboration interdepartmentally and cross functionally
• Be involved in the hiring, development, and training process of employees for the department.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years’ minimum experience working in quality control environment.
• Strong understanding of measurement equipment
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
• Metrology experience preferred
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to analyze complex data and trends to drive improvements.
• Experience with audit processes and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in a welding manufacturing industry is favorable.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
