Allpoints Surveying is seeking a Residential Plot Plans Drafter to join our growing team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong complex problem-solving capabilities. The Residential Plot Plans Drafter is responsible for transforming initial rough product designs into working documents using computer-aided design (CAD) to create accurately scaled site plans.

Responsibilities
- Effectively operates CAD software to draft scaled site plans.
- Reviews and interprets client order forms and email communications to accurately calculate site plan requirements.
- Reviews and interprets sketches, drawings, specifications, and other data to ensure they conform to survey requirements.
- Brings forth potential problems and possible solutions to the attention of the responsible department.
- Collaborates with other departments to interpret and explain drawings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of one (1) year of drafting work experience in creating site plans, including experience with AutoCAD software, required.
- A certificate in Architectural or Civil Drafting from a college or technical school preferred.
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- A certification from an accredited CAD program preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- High degree of attention to detail required.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Working Conditions
This role follows a five-day (5) workweek, with employees expected to work in the Houston office from Monday to Friday. You will have the option to work remotely after 1 year of tenure depending on performance standards.
