Medical Billing and Coding Manager - Medical Office - Base Salary to 60k / year - Jacksonville, NC
Our client, a well-established multi-site medical practice, is currently seeking a Medical Billing and Coding Manager for their Jacksonville, NC location.
The Medical Billing and Coding Manager will be responsible for medical coding and team management (5-6) to oversee the billing team and work through charges and daily tasks.
Responsibilities :
Review and analyze patient records for accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG systems.
Process medical billing claims in accordance with established guidelines
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices and regulations
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies
Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid claims and resolving billing issues with insurance companies
Utilize various medical billing systems to input data accurately and efficiently
Provide support to staff on medical coding practices and billing procedures
Qualifications :
3 years of medical coding experience & team management experience
Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing
Proficiency in medical coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9
Understanding of DRG methodologies and their applications in medical billing
Familiarity with medical terminology and its relevance in coding accuracy
Experience in medical billing processes within a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical collection practices and effective communication skills for resolving billing inquiries
Compensation :
Base salary in the 55k - 60k / year range
End-of-year bonus after one full year of service
401k : 5% match after one year of service
