Sales Technician - Plastics Manufacturing - Base Salary 75k / year - Piscataway, NJ
Our client, a well-established family-owned Plastic Mold Injection & Extrusion company is currently seeking an experienced Sales Technician for their Piscataway, NJ location. The Sales Technician will be responsible for a combination of Inside and Outside Sales for existing and new accounts (diverse customer base) working with a team of 2 other Sales Technicians.
Responsibilities :
Establish new accounts by following up with existing sales leads
Make and submit orders by referring to product literature and price lists
Gather current marketplace information to identify potential customers
Contact potential customers in person, over the phone, or via email
Investigate problems; prepare reports, develop solutions, and make recommendations to management to resolve customer needs
Attend internal and external training courses to build industry-related skills
Provide historical records by documenting all customer inquiries and sales
Contribute to team efforts in accomplishing organizational goals
Support company quality & safety programs
Qualifications :
3 years Technical Sales Experience for Plastics Manufacturing with ability to discuss technically complex products
Ability to travel for some outside sales appointments
Microsoft Office Suite Proficient
Compensation :
Base salary 75k / year, plus commission
