- Our client, a distinguished leader with over a century of experience in their industry, ranks among the largest manufacturers in their industry nationwide. They are currently seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to join their dynamic team, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a well-established company renowned for its innovation and excellence.
- The Manufacturing Project Manager will lead the Manufacturing workstream within the business optimization program, implementing process improvements, analyzing performance data, managing budgets and operational standards, deploying Lean and Total Productive Maintenance best practices, and ensuring project milestones are met through effective coordination with internal teams and external consultants, with travel required to support other manufacturing plants.
Responsibilities:
- This position requires travel to manufacturing plants across the U.S., mostly regionally, to oversee operations and support project execution.
- Lead the manufacturing workstream within the business optimization program, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including internal staff and external consultants, to ensure successful execution.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements across manufacturing facilities.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- Develop and execute site-specific operational improvement plans in collaboration with Plant Directors and functional teams.
- Analyze performance data to support transformation strategies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track key performance indicators, balanced scorecards, and operational metrics to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Manage labor, material, and energy cost standards while ensuring adherence to performance benchmarks.
- Oversee program budgets in collaboration with site teams and contribute to investment planning and funding proposals.
- Implement Lean manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance best practices to standardize and optimize processes across facilities.
- Monitor project timelines, ensuring key deliverables are met and potential risks are identified and addressed proactively.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain communication between leadership, project stakeholders, and external partners.
- Ensure accountability for project milestones, driving progress and maintaining alignment with strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field
- Experience in manufacturing operations
- Expertise in operational excellence and process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM)
- Strong project management skills with experience in large-scale transformation initiatives.
