Structural Engineer - Panelized Structures and Metal Trusses - Base Salary to 120k / year - North Kansas City, MO
Our client is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team, specializing in the design, analysis, and optimization of cold-formed steel (CFS) panelized structures and metal trusses for high-rise and multifamily housing projects. The Structural Engineer role will require technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and close collaboration with project managers, fabricators, and construction teams to deliver innovative and efficient structural solutions.
Responsibilities :
Develop structural designs for cold-formed steel panelized systems, metal trusses, and related components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Perform detailed structural analysis, including load calculations, to ensure the safety and integrity of designs.
Optimize designs for cost-efficiency and constructability without compromising quality or performance.
Work closely with estimators, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into project workflows.
Review and approve shop drawings and submittals to verify alignment with engineering designs.
Qualifications :
5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on cold-formed steel and metal truss systems preferred.
Proven experience in high-rise and multifamily housing projects is highly desirable.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, SAP2000) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations, including IBC, ASCE 7, and AISI.
