Job Description
Works with customers on major technical problems, responds to their concerns and coordinates corrective action as needed.
Provide fast on-site response to customer problems to include coordination of sorting/rework at customer site.
Represent company as an expert in the field and communicate with people on all levels in a multitude of organizations.
Provide timely feedback to the company regarding customer concerns; perform initial problem diagnosis and root-cause analysis to ensure effective, long-term problem resolution.
Investigates and documents customer complaints regarding quality.
Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
Reviews all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the supplier.
Engages in safe practices as well as follows and enforces safety rules and job rotations.
Must be willing to report unsafe conditions, reporting unsafe acts, participating in safety/ergonomic committees, participating in safety Kaizen events, participating in Blue Sky initiatives, participating in safety audits, and participating in safety observation feedback events.
Assist the plant in achieving safety goals while achieving and maintaining Safe Workplace and Environmental and Sustainability objectives.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Engineering Degree, Degree in related field, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 Years Manufacturing Plant Experience with 2 Years Automotive Quality experience at a 1st or 2nd Tier level required.
- Familiarity with automotive quality systems requirements, including TS 16949.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of APQP to include: design, inspection, product testing, vendor requirements, documentation requirements, and SPC methodology to assure the quality of assigned products or components.
- Computer proficiency is preferred, including data entry and PC knowledge to include word processing and spreadsheet capabilities, preferably using Microsoft Excel.
- Impact, Gage Pack and SAP.
- Working knowledge of the following: DOE, GD&T, Six Sigma
- Must be able to travel for periods up to two weeks at a time to support product launches, make routine scheduled visits, and act as customer’s primary technical representative.
