Job Description
Allstate is looking for an experienced leader that accelerates Allstates move into the public cloud. The position is with the Allstate Cloud Engineering group. Cloud Engineering is responsible for making the cloud seamless and secure at Allstate and Allstates Family of Companies.
The AWS Services Managing Engineer leads a group of engineers as they build, automate and secure AWS Cloud services. The team consists of talented individuals that are passionate about technology and work collaboratively on achieving Allstates goals. Engineers follow an XP Type mindset, actively pairing throughout the day and across timezones. The AWS Services Managing Engineer works closely with the product managers and engineers to remove obstacles and help the team be as productive as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads engineers in overseeing and developing cloud environments and platforms, while aligning them with business and security strategies and requirements
- Work closely with product managers to prioritize the backlog and collaborate on Infrastructure roadmaps.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud solutions at massive scale and resiliency
- Champions the engineering practices and helping teams define and setup frameworks for infrastructure as code and immutable infrastructure concepts.
- Establishes the strategy and manages complex technical designs in engineering and operating cloud platform infrastructure.
- Defines and develops new products and services that provides functions- as-a-service.
- Champions for the appropriate use of open source and commercial technology based upon industry trends and innovative concepts.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $112,000.00 - 196,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
