The OSP Construction Manager at ASG is responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, including both underground and aerial fiber and copper installations. They manage the entire construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role also involves handling design, permitting, material acquisition, construction, and the integration of outside plant construction projects, ensuring they meet the acceptance criteria of ASG clients.

Pay Scale: $75,000-$90,000

What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):
• Ensure that projects are managed from start to finish, including aerial, underground, and splicing
• Enamor customers with project delivery excellence
• Provide project cost estimates and bids. Negotiate rates and SOW when applicable.
• Carry out or supervise inventory management procedures.
• Provide quality control, site visits, problem solving and support for all staff.
• Conduct interviews and hire staff; plan, assign, and oversee work; evaluate performance; provide rewards and administer discipline; handle complaints and resolve issues.
• Recruit and oversee contractors and subcontractors
• Evaluate the responsibilities of supervisors and foremen in areas such as goal setting, productivity, effective customer issue resolution, crew scheduling, and maintaining morale.
• Ensure employees have the proper tools, training, and safety gear to succeed
• Ensure safety evaluations and meetings are occurring
• Handle customer escalations
• Ensure accurate documentation and correspondence with customers is captured
• Proactively communicate with Senior Management related to project progress
• Manage the overall processes to ensure accurate invoicing and billing
What you’ll need:
General
- 3 years of related experience in the telecom industry with a general understanding of products/standards
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
Technical
- Knowledge of light and heavy equipment used in Outside Construction and Maintenance.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of telecommunications, Outside Plant, construction, Fiber Restoration, and splicing/testing
- Fiber and copper background a plus
Desired Skills
- Requires excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience training new personnel in technical and non-technical duties
Job Type:
Full-Time – Salary (Exempt)
Your Working Environment:
- Work hours will be dictated by the needs of the business for client-related project schedules; field working conditions to oversee project progress. Travel daily to job sites within a local geographic area (90%). On occasion, for special projects, or to attend company approved meetings, travel outside the normal area will be required (10%).
