What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pole Inspector II position at Allstate Sales Group Inc?
The Pole Inspector II at ASG inspects, plans, surveys, designs, and drafts pole-based projects for the organizations clients. This role also takes notes from the field visit, transfers them into a sharable file, and transmits then to a Drafting Technician so the finished product can be uploaded into the appropriate client system.

What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):
- Prepares routine field notes for projects, including the finding of field tests; creates various drawings of structures and equipment systems from their findings
- Provides inspection services for individual poles or groups of poles including probe and sounding tests
- Follows established technical specifications to prepare reports and drawings
- Consult with applicable parties regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards
- Surveys multiple poles within the assigned area utilizing the processes and procedures associated with detailed pole inspections
- Responsible for client and customer contact and obtaining permission to enter private property to survey poles
- Read and understand architectural, engineering, and construction drawings and details
- Responsible for sketching schematics during and immediately following a field survey; provides high-level quality assurance to projects
- Completes Make-Ready and other complex pole-based site surveys and sketches
- Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classification
What you’ll need:
General
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Requires excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Desired
- 2 years of Telecom, Power, or CATV fieldwork experience
- Understanding of architectural and construction detailing including GPS mapping of poles and attachments
Job Type: Full-Time – Hourly (Non-exempt)

- Working outdoors in the elements year-round.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Capable of climbing ladders
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
