Operations Manager
Summary / Objective :
The Operations Manager is accountable for the day-to-day operations of their Business Units. They are to maintain relationships with clients, employees, develop and retain their staff. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of all staff assigned to their respective Business Unit. They will be responsible for managing the performance of their staff, budgeting, and compliance within their Business Unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
Carry out the direction of the Regional Director regarding administrative and operational policy and procedure.
Utilizes the Operations Command Center, Assistant Operations Managers and Field Supervisors to assign, control, coordinate, discipline, evaluate, guide, supervise and train all operational personnel to efficiently deliver security services and ensure the mission of the company.
- Assist with the Development of policy and procedure, to guide the performance of managers, supervisors and field staff within your assigned Business Unit.
- Assist with the development of policies and protocol to maintain integrity and discipline for all personnel within your Business Unit.
- Assist with the development of plans for emergency situates and key holidays that will affect normal daily operations and staffing levels.
- Assist with the development of scheduling protocols to ensure that proper staffing levels are maintained on all shifts, including standbys and trainees.
Assist with the selection of all managers, field supervisors, account supervisors within your Business Unit and make recommendations as to their assignment.
Establish meetings with the managers, field supervisors and OCC staff to discuss operational strategies, communication and administrative compliance and report the subject matter to the Regional Director.
Participate in an ongoing training and evaluation program for managers, support staff and site personnel addressing various operational topics.
Review disciplinary findings and recommend penalty against members assigned to your Business Unit and revise or concur with the findings and forward them to HR for final adjudication.
Monitor communications between clients with managers and support staff and recommend improvements.
Act as senior problem-solving coordinator for your Business Unit.
Assist with the investigation of all complaints made against staff in your Business Unit.
Coordinate payroll resolution with the Human Resource Department
Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure that all unemployment paperwork is completed and approved format to forward in a timely manner.
Coordinate with the Assistant Operations Managers, Post Commanders, Site Supervisor, Field Supervisor, and Guards to ensure that all field reports are being completed in an approved format and forwarded in a timely manner.
Processes all incoming items received from field personnel to include but not limited to leave requests, payroll adjustments, etc. are forwarded through the appropriate channels for processing.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is responsible for all Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Security Officers assigned to their Business Unit.
Work Environment
This job operates in a wide variety of places, including residential buildings, corporate buildings, outdoor locations, and retail stores. This position works indoors and outdoors.

Position Type / Work Schedule
This is a full-time position. Schedule will be assigned when hired. Each employee must work part of the weekend and be available for overnight emergency requests.
Qualifications and Experience
Valid BSIS Security Guard License
CA Driver’s Licensewithout restrictions
College degree preferred
Minimum 3 - 5 years of professional-level experience required, managing employees in a fast-paced, service organization. Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, military highly desired.
Experience in scheduling, operations and / or employee management in a service-related industry.
Demonstrated working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software mandatory. Ability to learn and efficiently operate various timekeeping and payroll programs, such as WinTeam, eHub, Lighthouse, and Office 365 Suite
Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
Demonstrated ability to be very customer service oriented, with the ability to successfully interact with all levels in the organization, including with Security Professionals, Vice Presidents and clients in a courteous and professional manner, while functioning as a team player. Must demonstrate an effective ability to de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unpleasant
