About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Civil Designer/Drafter to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and/or commercial projects and a strong technical background in drafting and design software. This role involves creating precise and detailed 2D and 3D models, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring projects meet client expectations and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed civil design and drafting plans for residential and/or commercial projects.
- Create 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate designs.
- Prepare site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and other civil engineering drawings.
- Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and survey data to ensure compliance.
- Conduct revisions and updates to drawings as required by project changes.
- Assist in preparing documentation for permit applications and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in civil design and drafting for residential and/or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D.
- Strong skills in 2D and 3D modeling and visualization.
- Knowledge of construction practices, codes, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is preferred but not required.
